What this tool does
XLSX to CSV turns Excel workbooks into program-friendly CSV: pick a sheet by index, choose comma, semicolon or tab, and get UTF-8-BOM output that opens Chinese cleanly in Excel.
Parse-only and in-place: the workbook is never uploaded or modified. Legacy binary .xls is not supported — re-save as .xlsx first.
How to use
- Drop your .xlsx file Up to 20MB. Display values are exported — formulas contribute their results.
- Pick sheet index and delimiter Sheets are 1-based; European Excel builds often prefer semicolons.
- Download the CSV The output feeds database imports, scripts, or opens in any spreadsheet for review.
FAQ
Is legacy .xls supported?
No. Re-save as .xlsx in Excel first.
Are formulas exported?
Computed results (display values) are exported, not the formulas.
Are all sheets exported together?
No. Export one sheet per run via the index — mixing structures would be unparseable.
Will Chinese text garble?
No. The BOM makes Excel and WPS decode as UTF-8 correctly.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Parsing and conversion happen entirely in your browser.
How are dates exported?
As the Excel serial-date display form; set the cell format in Excel for a specific layout.
Limits
.xlsx only; up to 20MB; one sheet per export.
Formulas, styles, merged-cell layout and charts are not preserved.
Dates export in Excel display form; no timezone conversion.
