What this tool does
The QR generator turns links or any text into a QR code: paste content and generate. Output is vector SVG by default (crisp at poster size) with one-click PNG export; you can set foreground / background colours and upload a centre logo.
Canvas size, quiet zone and error-correction level are adjustable — higher correction survives more damage and a centre logo, but holds less data. Everything runs in your browser; content is never uploaded.
How to use
- Paste a link or text Scanning opens exactly this text; URLs open in the browser.
- Tune size and correction For print use Q or H with margin ≥ 4; M is fine on screens.
- Generate and download Download SVG for vector use (embedding, print, infinite zoom), or PNG to drop straight into chat apps and documents.
FAQ
Should I download SVG or PNG?
Pick SVG for vector use (lossless scaling, a few KB, web embedding or print); pick PNG for direct use (chat, Word, slides) — rasterised from the SVG in your browser, with nothing uploaded.
What is the capacity limit?
About 2,300 bytes at level M. Denser codes are harder to scan — keep URLs short.
Which error-correction level?
M for screens; Q or H for print, occlusion risk or long-distance scanning.
Is my content uploaded?
No. Generation happens in your browser; content never leaves the device.
Do the QR codes expire?
No. These are static QR codes — the content lives in the pattern itself, forever.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. An uploaded logo is centred with a margin, and error correction is set to H (30% recoverable) so the code still scans. A smaller logo on a higher correction level scans most reliably.
Limits
Capacity follows the QR spec (about 2,300 bytes at ECC=M); input file up to 1MB.
QR Code only — no PDF417 / Data Matrix; no QR decoding (that is a separate direction).
PNG is rasterised from the SVG in your browser, with pixel size from the canvas-size option; an uploaded logo is scaled and centred.
