What this tool does
Rotating a PDF turns every page by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. It only changes the display angle — nothing is redrawn — so it is extremely fast and completely lossless.
The text layer and images stay intact, so pages remain selectable, copyable and searchable. Everything runs in your browser; files are never uploaded.
One caveat: rotation stores a display angle instead of redrawing pixels, so a few old viewers or printer drivers may ignore it and output the page in its original orientation. If that happens, convert the PDF to images and rebuild the file, or explicitly set orientation in the print dialog. Almost all modern viewers and mobile apps honour the attribute correctly.
How to use
- Drop the PDF you want to straighten One file at a time, up to 100MB.
- Choose the rotation 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise. The angle is added on top of each page’s existing rotation.
- Download and check Open the result to confirm the orientation. If it is wrong, rotate the original again — there is no cumulative damage.
FAQ
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation only changes the display angle; no image or text is re-encoded.
Can I rotate only some pages?
This version rotates the whole document. For per-page rotation, extract those pages first and rotate the result.
Why was my PDF sideways to begin with?
The scanner or camera did not record orientation, so the page was stored portrait-sideways. Rotating is the most direct fix.
Can I rotate a protected PDF?
No. Password-protected files are rejected; this tool never cracks passwords.
Is 45 degrees supported?
No. The PDF specification only allows multiples of 90, so the options are 90, 180 and 270.
Is my file uploaded?
No — all processing happens inside your browser.
Limits
Up to 100MB per file; whole-document rotation only, no per-page angles.
No decryption, no redrawing of pages, no OCR.
