What this tool does

Format conversion switches an image between PNG, JPEG and WebP while keeping pixel dimensions unchanged — only the encoding changes.

When converting to JPEG, transparency is composited onto white; converting to PNG or WebP keeps the alpha channel. Everything runs in your browser.

Which format should you pick? Screenshots, icons and UI graphics suit PNG, because lossless compression keeps crisp edges and transparency. Photos suit JPEG, since continuous tones hide lossy artifacts well. Choose WebP when you need both transparency and small size, or when the audience is on modern browsers and mobile. Mixing formats across a site is perfectly normal — pick by content.

How to use

  1. Drop one or more images PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 50MB each; you can select several at once for batch conversion.
  2. Choose the target format Pick PNG for transparency, JPEG for size, or WebP for a balance. The quality setting only affects JPEG and WebP.
  3. Download The file name gets the matching extension automatically so it opens correctly after downloading.

FAQ

Does conversion lose quality?

Converting to PNG or lossless WebP does not; converting to JPEG always does, because JPEG is lossy by design.

Will transparency turn black?

No. When converting to JPEG, transparent areas are composited onto white, which is the safest default.

Why is the converted file bigger?

Screenshots compressed as PNG are already tight; JPEG has to encode noise and can end up larger. Keep PNG or use WebP for those.

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Drop several images; once converted they are delivered as a single ZIP, each entry named by its target format (png/jpg/webp).

Is AVIF or HEIC supported?

Not yet. Inputs and outputs are limited to PNG, JPEG and WebP.

Is my image uploaded?

No — all processing happens inside your browser.

Limits

Up to 50MB per image; batch supported, multiple images output as a ZIP. PNG, JPEG and WebP only.

No animated GIF, SVG, AVIF or HEIC; no resizing or cropping.
