What this tool does
Extract PDF pages copies just the pages you specify into a new file, so you never have to send the whole document.
Page content and order are preserved exactly, and text stays selectable. Everything runs in your browser — no upload.
There are two common ways to build a range: list what you want to keep (for example 1-3,7,12-), or list the few pages you want to drop and take the complement. When only a couple of pages are unwanted, the second approach is easier to verify — just confirm those pages are absent. The extracted file can then be compressed or rotated with further tools; steps chain safely and the original never changes.
How to use
- Drop your PDF One file at a time, up to 100MB.
- Enter the page range Separate with commas: 1-3,5,8- means pages 1–3, page 5, and page 8 through the last page.
- Download the result Open the result to confirm page count and order. Change the range and run again for a different set — the original is untouched.
FAQ
Do page numbers start at 0 or 1?
They start at 1, matching what your PDF viewer shows.
What if I want to delete pages?
Write the range you want to keep; to drop page 4, use 1-3,5-.
What happens if I mistype the range?
Unparseable input stops with a clear message; you never get an empty file.
Can I extract from a protected PDF?
No. Password-protected files are rejected; this tool never cracks passwords.
Will the extracted file be smaller?
Usually, but each document repeats fonts and shared resources, so size is not strictly proportional to page count.
Can the extracted page order be changed?
Extraction keeps the original order. To rearrange, extract the parts separately and reassemble them with the merge tool — that gives full control without touching page content.
Is my file uploaded?
No — all processing happens inside your browser.
