What this tool does
Stamp a text watermark on every page of a PDF — choose the position (centre, bottom right, bottom centre, top right), size and opacity.
The text layer and page dimensions are preserved; the watermark is just a layer drawn on top.
Everything happens inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use
- Drop your PDF into the area above One PDF up to 100MB. The file is opened locally.
- Enter the watermark text and pick a position The centre position auto-rotates by 30°; the others stay upright. Font size is a percentage of page width; opacity ranges from 5 to 100%.
- Download the result Download once ready. Open the result to confirm text is still selectable and the watermark does not cover key content.
FAQ
Can I use an image as the watermark?
This tool is text-only. For image watermarks, use the image-watermark tool to compose the overlay first, then insert it.
Can each page have a different watermark?
This tool uses the same text on every page. For per-page watermarks, split the PDF, watermark each part, then merge them.
Is my file uploaded?
No. All processing happens inside your browser; the server only serves the page.
What is a sensible opacity range?
5–20% is almost invisible on light backgrounds; 40–60% is the sweet spot — clear without dominating; 80% or more visibly interferes with viewing.
Does the watermark change the file size much?
A little — the text stream and embedded font both add bytes. Unless the original is very small, the increase is negligible.
Limits
Up to 100MB per file, one file at a time; text watermark only; one text per PDF.
Original content is not modified — only a layer is drawn on top. Existing watermarks are not removed and page size or orientation is unchanged.
